SIBGRAPI - Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images is an international conference annually promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). The proceedings of the event have been published in English by CPS since 1997. All these editions are available at IEEE Xplore Digital Library, increasing the visibility of Brazil in the international scientific scene. In addition, SIBGRAPI has pre-conferences Special Sections of the Elsevier Computers & Graphics Journal and of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, and a post-conference Special Issue of the Elsevier Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation.

The 30th edition of SIBGRAPI is being organized by the Instituto de Computação of the Universidade Federal Fluminense (IC-UFF), by the Programa de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computação of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (PESC-COPPE-UFRJ), and by the Departamento de Informática of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (DI, PUC-Rio). It will be held in Niterói-RJ from October 17 to 20, 2017. The SIBGRAPI 2017 will be a unique opportunity for participants to enjoy the beautiful view of Guanabara Bay and the technical sessions, mini courses, workshops and lectures given by internationally renowned guests.
